Imposter Sydrome
I recently had the privilege of interviewing someone truly inspiring. I'm bursting with excitement to share more about her journey because we all understand the struggle of dealing with imposter syndrome. She has mastered the art of overcoming those feelings and embracing her true, badass self.
Alani Bankhead has had an impressive career in the military, government, and nonprofit sectors, including working as a supervisory special agent and lieutenant colonel in the Air Force. Despite her accomplishments, she struggled with imposter syndrome for the first 12 years of her career. Now, she aims to help others overcome similar obstacles and unlock their greatest potential through her keynote speaking, workshops, training, and book, The Least of Us, How Your Imposter Syndrome Points to Your Greatest Power. Alani is offering a 10% off discount for her upcoming workshop, Humble Warrior Leadership Program, for clients that sign up through Suddenly 60 Podcast.
Here is her Bio and more.
Alani I. Bankhead, PCC, ELI-MP has 20 years in the military, government, and non-profit worlds as a supervisory special agent and Lieutenant Colonel. Alani traveled the world hunting terrorists with special operations, chasing spies as a counterintelligence expert, and bringing justice to child sex abusers and traffickers. She was even selected as the senior bodyguard to a top Pentagon official…
…all while being 5’3”, Latina, and looking much younger than she actually is.
It turned out Alani suffered from the worst case of imposter syndrome ever. For the first 12 years of her career, she lived in fear of being discovered as being unworthy of the positions, titles, and accolades she achieved. Until she discovered the truth:
“What you think is your weakness is the key to unlocking your greatest power.”
Alani’s new mission is to hunt the terrorist in your mind. The one that creates havoc and fear as it tells you that you are not good enough to effectively do the work you know in your bones you are called to do. Through her keynote speaking, workshops, trainings, and book, “The Least of Us: How Your Imposter Syndrome Points to Your Greatest Power,” Alani now teaches others how to unlock their highest potential resulting in a “pinch me” life of incredible impact, thriving, and joy. Alani has been featured as a TEDx speaker and in numerous publications and conferences.
