I wasn’t always who I am today.  It took fierce determination and consciously changing the voice in my head to truly know I am strong, I am enough, I can have what I desire. That shift began at age 50.

Blaming my parents or where I grew up could have been very easy and going down a very different path, but knowing deep inside that I am something better and someday I will be that woman I admire who I thought had everything, happy marriage, successful business, and an amazing life.

Becoming a mother at age 32 and 34 was the greatest gift.  I had so many plans and ambitions for this new life I was so grateful for.  As time went on, life became more difficult in business, finances, and marriage.  I was angry for these changes and didn’t realize how negative the talk in my head was becoming.  The one thing I was really good at and dove head deep into to what I though, was the way to fix what I was feeling, was my job. Focusing on my business and thinking I would gift my way to happiness, providing what I thought was the best life for my family, my sons, with trips, toys, sports wasn’t what they truly needed.  They needed me. My attention. Being so wrapped up in my head, I lost sight of what else was important and that also was me.  The day I began being called “mean mom” was a gut-wrenching wake-up call.

My mindset did not change overnight, it took a few years.  A few years of letting go. Doing the work, being consistent. Letting go of the unhappy 27 year marriage, the business and what I thought was going to make me happy, by being “that” woman.  Becoming that woman did not make me happy and once realized, I drew a line in the sand and decided to change before it was too late.

There is so much I want to share about how this change can be made, what it takes, other amazing women who can support in this change and what can be achieved with this intentional mindset shift.  Today I am thrilled to wake up each morning and start the day.  I have amazing energy, a positive attitude and excitement about my future.  I cannot imagine living a different life. Helping other women achieve this in any small or big way is my WHY.  We are meant to lift each other up, hold each other and know we are truly seen and heard to be able to build the life we want and know it can be achieved.
